Actress Janella Salvador on Friday, April 5 warned her bashers not to "involve my son" in the recent issue she has been embroiled following a comment she made during her guesting in the noontime show "It's Showtime."

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Salvador said that she has apologized to someone she has unintentionally offended.

"And just to be clear, I have personally apologized for unintentionally offending someone but not for setting a valid boundary. If you twist my words, that’s on you. I will always be assertive but never disrespectful," she wrote.

"If you can’t tell the difference and find something wrong with that, then you’re a people pleaser and again… that’s on you. "Don’t you dare try and involve my son. The way most of y’all are boomers too. Embarrassing," she continued.

The 26-year-old actress has found herself in a middle of controversy after appearing in "It's Showtime" on April 2 together with her co-star Win Metawin as part of the promotion for their upcoming film "Under Parallel Skies" and her 10th anniversary concert "Janella Reimagined."

While Janella was talking about her new song "Headtone," the show's host Kim Chiu asked her to make a sample performance for the audience.

However, Janella declined by saying: "Medyo paos ako today. Kayo na lang."

Later on, host and comedian Vice Ganda made a joke during one of the show's segment referencing Janella’s words.

“Medyo paos siya ngayon. Kayo na lang," Vice said.

This became a hot topic on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with netizens deeming her response as disrespectful and calling her out for her alleged "bad attitude."

Janella's fans, meanwhile, defended her answer by stating that not every declined respect means disrespect.

The hosts of the noontime show have yet to release their statements on the matter as of writing.
